Happy Thanksgiving

... to all you Americans. To everyone else- Canadians and the like... you don't know what you're missing!
Dear Everyone,
I have a free moment now to write and I was in my email trying to decide who to write to. I decided, however, that I can't possibly choose. I want to write to ALL of you!
I love reading your comments even if I can't reply to all of them. Ok, here's an update from Nigeria. Yesterday we had a huge party at the Divine Face Centre. It was Fr.'s birthday, Sister Gertrude's feast day, and the Feast of St. Cecilia (patroness of our choir). There was a ton of food, and ceremony, and cake. We also had sodas and I made a huge smash by discovering that you can open a bottle on the railing of the stairs... thanks to 4 years of college I've become an expert at opening a bottle using whatever happens to be handy at the time (moderately of course).
The weather continues to be unbelievably hot here- I wish I could report some change... maybe in a month or so. School is going well. I know the students haven't looked this far ahead yet, but as the teacher I can see the end of the term looming all too close (December 16). I am trying my best to squeeze in all that the Nigerian Education council demands. It's going to be tight. Although I've never taught anywhere else, I think this is probably the plight of all teacher!
I hope and pray you are all doing well. I love hearing from you!

Hey Bob,

Just wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. I love reading the blog... I was a little behind. I had dinner with Rita and Gino on Saturday... and enjoyed speaking of you (not to worry... only about how awesome you are). You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Love ya,
Bob (a.k.a. Felicia)

happy Thanksgiving Ang!
I hope that your Thanksgiving existant. I know that when I was in Italy it was really hard to not be in the good ol' US of A for the holidays and Thanksgiving was the hardest for me. It's so weird when such an important holiday for you doesn't even exist in the place where you are.
Well, Anthony and I just wanted to say hi and make sure that you know that we are thinking about you. He is growing so fast - eats like a piggy! The doctor said he thinks I have cream instead of milk :) I'm just happy that he seems to be doing so well. He wears those onsies that you bought him everyday and so we say a prayer for you every time we put one on (sometimes multiple times a day, due to the poopy blowouts). He can't wait to meet you!!! He's becoming a Christian on Saturday at 11:30. Andrew and Maria are the godparents and so will be there. Just wish that you could come! Anthony and I just got back to Ft. Wayne last night - we've been in Ann Arbor for about a month with John - poor fella - commuting. OK, need to unpack everything but I can't wait to hear everything about everything in Nigeria. I love you!

Hi Angela! Sounded like a great celebration with lots to celebrate. Tell Fr. Happy Birthday from the U.S. gang. We are making great progress on the car/truck for the school. Sent Andre the map. Met someone Friday who is ready to make the trip. God has His plan in place for everything! I'll talk to you this week. Peace, Carol&Paul

Ang, I FINALLY checked out your blog and spend hours reading your posts. I miss ya! I've definitely moved up in the world in terms of Christmas decorations from last year to this year. Oh, don't get me wrong. 1420 Parkview had wonderful ghetto decor, but 6944 Canal has 1st class ghetto decor. Nothing like a $20 pre-lit Christmas Tree from Big Lots! As far as it being Summer, well it is still Summer here in the Big Easy too. 80 degrees just the other day! I love ya and I'm praying for you!
